Women's Lax Cruises Past Wilkes, 21-7

DALLAS, Pa. (3/24/07) - Senior attack Gio Buono (Plainsboro, N.J.) had seven goals and an assist to lead the Kean University women's lacrosse team past Wilkes University, 21-7, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at College Misericordia.

Freshman attacks Ashley Reynolds (Old Bridge, N.J.) and Joeline Bennett (Willingboro, N.J.) each scored four goals, as Reynolds also added an assist.

Juniors Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) and Allison Green (West Deptford, N.J.) combined for four goals and three assists. Senior goalkeeper Lydia Pinto (Clark, N.J.) made five saves in 53 minutes, while freshman Jenni Barry (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) scored two goals before making three saves in the final seven minutes of action.

The Cougars (2-1) return to action on Tuesday, March 27, when they host Muhlenberg College in non-conference action at 4 p.m.
