Kean Alumni Stadium

Kean Alumni Stadium has been the center piece of the athletic outdoor facilities since the University moved to its current Union Campus in the 1960s. Alumni Stadium was formerly named Zweidinger Field and was renamed Kean University Alumni Stadium in 1998 after a complete renovation of the facility. That renovation included a synthetic turf field, the addition of an eight lane competition track, lights, press box and seating for 2,300 spectators. In the summer of 2005 the traditional Astroturf field was removed in favor of a more multi-sport favorable SprintTurf field.  The following year seating was increased to 5,300, including 300 chair back seats at midfield of the home bleachers. Additions including the installation of two Daktronics scoreboards, with the North Scoreboard featuring an HD quality video board, were added as a first at the Division III level in the state.  In the summer of 2014, the field and track were replaced with FieldTurf.  In 2021, the facility received upgrades with a complete renovation of the field surface (Shaw Sports Turf) and track resurfacing.
