Zamorsky Sends Kean Past Camden,
10-3

Ryan Zamorsky (Branchburg, N.J.) tossed eight
strong innings to pick up the win as #23/28 Kean University
defeated visiting Rutgers-Camden, 10-3, Friday afternoon in NJAC
action.
Zamorsky (1-1) (pictured right) earns his first win in two starts
this season after allowing nine hits and two runs. He walked
no one and fanned six.
The Cougars (22-9, 8-4 NJAC) used a balanced scoring attack and
never trailed in the contest. KU got things going with four
runs in their half of the second all with two outs. Rookie
Steve Nappe (Edison, N.J.) lined a two RBI double
down the line while senior Dave Zavistoski (Edison,
N.J.) had a bases-loaded walk. Senior Mike
Moceri (Yardville, N.J.) was also hit-by-a-pitch with the
bases loaded to account for all runs scored in the inning.
Kean then controlled the game with two runs in the third and
fourth innings and single runs in the fifth and seventh.
Offensively Nappe was 2-for-3 with three RBI while junior
Ken Gregory (Pittstown, N.J.) (pictured left) was
3-for-5 with three doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Moceri
was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
For Rutgers-Camden (16-14, 5-7 NJAC), senior Jamie Williams
(Vineland, N.J.) was 3-for-4 with two RBI, a double and
homerun while senior Steve Myers (Millville, N.J.) was
3-for-4 with a run scored.
Kean heads to the road to face local rival Montclair State in
doubleheader fashion on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., Camden heads to
William Paterson at the same time.
