NEWBURGH, N.Y. (3/24/12) – Lyndsey Cannon and Ciara Mastrodomenico combined for 11 goals and three assists to lead the Kean University women's lacrosse team to a 14-8 win over Mount Saint Mary College in Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Cannon led the Cougars (3-4, 1-1 Skyline) with six goals and two assists, as Kean outscored Mount Saint Mary (1-5, 0-1 Skyline), 7-3, in the opening half. 

After Mount Saint Mary scored the first two goals of the game, Cannon (pictured left) scored three straight as Kean went on a 6-0 run  to take a 6-2 lead and led 7-3 at halftime.

The Cougars scored the first four goals of the second half, as Mastrodomenico netted three goals to extend the lead to 11-3.

Cannon added five draw controls and six groundballs, while Mastrodomenico added four groundballs, three caused turnovers and two draw controls. 

Junior Jules Keeley made seven saves in the win. 

Kean returns to action on Wednesday, March 28, when Kean travels to College of Mount Saint Vincent for Skyline action.
