UNION, N.J. (3/31/12) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team had eight different players record goals in an 18-2 win over SUNY Maritime College in Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Lyndsey Cannon led the Cougars (5-4, 3-1 Skyline) with five goals and two assists, as Kean outshot Maritime 29-12 for the game.
For the Privateers (1-5, 0-4 Skyline), goalkeeper Laura Palino stopped seven shots.
The Cougars scored the first five goals of the game, including a pair from Cannon and took a 12-1 lead at the break following two more goals and two assists from Cannon and a pair of goals from junior Stephanie Tocko.
Kean, who scored 12 straight goals spanning the first and second halves, had five players with multi-goal games.
Sophomore Julie Knodt added three goals and two assists, while Tocko added three goals and one assist. Kat Halasz (pictured left) added two goals and one assist and Ciara Mastrodomenico finished with two goals, six groundballs, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Kean hosts Ramapo College in Skyline and New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday, April 3, at 4 p.m.
