Dallas, Pa. (9/7/12) – King's College (Pa.) used two quick goals in the first half to pull past the Kean University field hockey team by the final of 3-1 Friday evening.
The Cougars fall to 2-2 this season with the loss and will take on host Misericordia University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
After battling through the first 25 minutes with no scoring, the Lady Monarchs broke through at the 25:10 mark with an unassisted goal to take a 1-0 lead. King's added to that 36 seconds later, taking a 2-0 lead into the break.
Kean got on the board in the 67th minute as junior Korri Thompson broke up the shutout with an unassisted goal. King's added more one two minutes later to seal the win.
Junior Erin Langan recorded three saves in the loss.
