Union, N.J. (10/24/15) – Senior Marissa Robinson netted her 100th career point (and 101st, 102nd, 103rd and 104th), while Krista LaMaina set a new Kean University single-season points record and tied the single-season assist record as the field hockey program rolled St. Joseph's College of Maine 4-0 on Saturday. The program also celebrated Senior Day for its five members of the Class of 2016.
The Cougars were off to a record-breaking start as Robinson and LaMaina (pictured left) came together for the first goal of the evening. Off LaMaina's corner, Robinson redirected the ball from the left side of the cage and passed it back to LaMaina for the score. With that assist, Robinson gained the 100th point for her career. LaMaina's first goal minted her as Kean's all-time leader in single-season points. She broke Brittany Gibbs' mark of 63 set in 2008, and Robinson is just the third Cougar in history to reach the 100-point plateau.
