Kean improves to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play while the Gothic Knights fall to 1-8 this season and 0-5 in the NJAC.

Neither team was able to gain some momentum in the first quarter as they shot a combined 0-11 from behind the arc and 28% from the floor.  Things changed quickly in the second quarter as Kean limited NJCU to just three points on a bucket early in the period and a free throw with about seven minutes to go.  The Cougars offense exploded as they pushed their lead to double digits, ending the half on a 12-0 run and a 35-9 halftime lead.

In the first 20 minutes Marajiah Bacon and twin sister Miesha Bacon combined for 12 points and 11 rebounds along with four assists and four steals.  Junior Jaquetta Owens added seven points and three steals.

The entire roster then paced through the second half as freshman Brianna Skinner (pictured left) provided 10 points and six rebounds off the bench and senior Eden Obou recorded seven rebounds in nine minutes.

For the Knights, Jazz Randall had nine points to lead her team.

Kean enjoys a break for the end of the semester and holidays and will return to action on December 30th when they host Centenary College.
