Women's Lacrosse Posts Seventh Straight Win

Union, N.J. (3/24/18) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team picked up their seventh straight win to start the 2018 season by defeating King's College, 18-10 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Morgan Graham was tied for a game-best five goals while adding an assist as Kean improved to 7-0 on the year.

Graham netted the first goal of the game less than a minute into the action.  Danni LeSaint and Krista LaMaina followed to give the Cougars a 3-0 lead.

King's (3-7) would pull within one (4-3 and 5-4) but the Cougars held the advantage wire-to-wire in the contest.

Senior keeper Nikki Apostolopoulos stopped 12 shots while registering eight groundballs and four caused turnovers.

Offensively, Meghan Tillger collected three goals, four assists and five draw controls while LaMaina finished with three goals of her own.

Kean returns to action on Wednesday when they host FDU-Florham at 4 p.m.
