TCNJ Pushes Past Women's Lacrosse in NJAC Tournament

Ewing, N.J. (5/2/18) – The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship with a 13-2 win over Kean University in semifinal action on Wednesday.

It was the second straight matchup for the Lions and Cougars as TCNJ defeated Kean on Saturday in the regular season finale.  TCNJ, currently ranked first in Division III, used a balanced scoring attack to improve to 16-2 this season.

The loss drops Kean to 14-4.  The Cougars scored a single tally in both halves, both man-up.  Morgan Graham collected Kean's first goal while Sarah Powers took a feed from Taylor Nyberg for its second goal.

Senior Nikki Apostolopoulos stopped 14 shots in net in the loss.
