Newport News, Va. (3/5/22) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team fell to #23 Christopher Newport University by the final of 20-6 on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars (0-2) were led by Sarah Wagner who tallied three goals.  Katie Pileggi recorded one goal and nine draw controls.  CNU was led by Kelsey Winters who had four goals and six assists good for 10 points.

The Captains raced out to an early 12-0 lead spanning into the second quarter.  Pileggi broke up the shutout with 9:46 to go in the frame.

Kean remains in Virginia and will face Randolph-Macon College on Monday evening.
