Galloway, N.J. (9/4/22) – The Kean University women's soccer team picked up a tie with Albright (1-1) in the newly restructured game format beginning with the 2022 season.
The new format states that overtime will only be used in postseason play, so after 90 minutes of regulation, the two teams battled to a 1-1 tie.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Kayley Brooks lofted a corner kick into the box that was finished by a header from Brooke Pappalardo for a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Albright tied things up in the second half after a scrum in front of the net on a free kick.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
It was an offensive stalemate as the defense for both team limited many threats with each team taking just three shots on goal each.
