CAMDEN, N.J. (12/13/23) – A 28-9 run over the final 8:45 sparked Rutgers-Camden (5-6, 2-5 NJAC) to a 71-60 victory over the Kean University men's basketball team (6-4, 4-2 NJAC) on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!
  • Kean opened the contest on a 17-3 run, including 12 unanswered to start.
  • The Cougars shot 8-for-9 from the floor, including seven points from Tyler Spencer.
  • After pushing the lead to 22-8, Camden notched eight straight to bring the advantage down to 22-14 with 6:50 remaining.
  • JD Daniels scored six points down the stretch as Kean and Camden traded buckets for the final six minutes of the opening stanza.
  • Kean led 33-24 at the break.
  • The Scarlet Raptors opened the second half on an 11-0 run to even the game at 33-33.
  • D.J. Alicea and Spencer combined for 12 points as the Cougars pushed their lead back to double digits at 53-43 with nine minutes to play.
  • Camden answered with a big 17-4 run over the next five minutes to hold a 60-55 lead with 3:53 remaining.
