SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (2/19/24) – Dylan Johnson finished with six points on five goals and one assist as the Kean University men's lacrosse team dropped their 2024 season opener to Skidmore College, 20-9 in a non-conference clash on President's Day.
HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
- The Cougars scored three times in the first seven minutes to hold an early 3-1 advantage.
- Skidmore closed the first quarter with seven straight goals for an 8-3 led after one.
- Nick Thorne and Johnson bookended goals during a second quarter thaw saw the Thoroughbreds pour in six more score and take a 14-4 at half.
- Johnson notched two goals in the third as Skidmore pushed their advantage to 16-7.
- In the fourth, Johnson and Tommy Hamtil both scored as the Thoroughbreds hit the 20 goal mark.
