Duda Scores Twice as Field Hockey Notches First Victory

UNION, N.J. (9/10/24) – Adrianna Duda scored twice as the Kean University field hockey team earned their first victory of the 2024 season with a 3-1 decision over Misericorida University on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • Kean struck first in the 13th minute when Duda tapped in a Maddison Gonzales feed from the top of the circle.
  • The rookie added her second goal in the 48th minute with a high arching shot in front of the cage.
  • Misericordia broke through in the third with an Ava Cirigliano blast in the 55th minute.
  • Kean added an insurance goal in the fourth when Gonzales stole the ball from a defender and beat the keeper one-on-one.
INSIDE THE BOX
  • The shots were even (18-18), while Kean held the edge in shots on goal (14-10) and Misericordia led on corners (13-8).
  • Shannon Conroy totaled seven shots.
