UNION, N.J. (9/25/24) – Nine different players tallied a point as the Kean University women's soccer team dispatched Brooklyn College, 8-0 on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• The Cougars scored early and often with six goals in the opening stanza.
• Mariaelena Torres and Sonya Brewer both notched two goals apiece.
• Kaydence Oakley and Kiera Quinn also found the back of the net in the first half.
• Ella Petrosh posted two assists, along with Torres and Vanessa Leon.
• In the second half, Emily Pinho recorded assists on goals by Anabel Makutonin and Sierra Fisbeck.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Kean shutout Brooklyn in all categories, including shots (39-0), shots on goal (19-0) and corners (13-0).
• Torres tallied nine shots
• Courtney Irwin posted seven shots.
• Abigail Wing and Madison Gesualdo combined for 90 minutes in goal.
• Last time the Cougars posted eight goals in a victory was an 8-0 decision over John Jay on Oct. 4^th, 2017.
