Four Goal First Half Lifts Field Hockey Past St. John’s Fisher

UNION, N.J. (10/11/25) – Powered by a four goal first half, the Kean University field hockey team earned a 5-1 victory over the St. John's Fisher University Cardinals in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!
  • Shannon Conroy opened the first half scoring as the senior scored off a goalkeeper save in the 14th minute.
  • After surrendering a goal to open the second quarter, Conroy answered with her second goal of the afternoon by way of a Madison Brege feed into the circle.
  • The Cougars added two more before halftime as Jazmyne Frack redirected a Conroy blast and Lilly Fried tapped in a Brege side pass at the goal line.
  • Sophia Candeloro capped off the scoring for the Cougars as the sophomore blasted home a shot from just inside the circle in the 34th minute.

  • Kean led on shots (28-8), shots on goal (18-5) and corners (12-3).
  • Conroy took seven shots.
  • Saraya Nelson and Daniella Maresca combined for four saves.
