Union, N.J. (12/13/25) – The Kean University women's basketball team to New Jersey City University by the final of 74-50 on Saturday afternoon in NJAC action.
The Cougars (1-8, 1-4 NJAC) were led by Dacia Mack who had 12 points and seven rebounds.
It was an early seesaw affair, but the Gothic Knights (4-4, 3-2 NJAC) were able to end the first quarter on a 15-4 run to take the lead for good in the contest. After a slow second quarter, NJCU led 36-20 at the intermission.
Both teams responded offensively in the third quarter, combining to score 43 points in the 10-minute frame, but the Gothic Knights were able to keep their comfortable cushion down the stretch for the win.
Meghan Gentile (NJCU) led all players with 26 points.
Kean will take some time off for exams and the holidays and will return to action on January 7th when they host William Paterson University.
