HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (12/7/25) – Cole Pfuefer took second place in the 165-weight class as the Kean University men's wrestling team placed eighth at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open hosted by Centenary University on Sunday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

• Pfeufer started off the afternoon with a major decision (9-1) over Riley Boss, before defeating an unattached Joshua Montesnio with a fall in the Round of 16.
• The junior went on to defeat Zahier Chiles in the semi-finals by major decision (16-5), before falling to Cole Pangborn of Blair Academy in the finals by major decision.
• At 125, Pedro Toledo earned a fall, while Domenic DeMarzo recorded both a major decision and a technical fall in wrestle backs.
• At 141, Abdelrahman Marghany earned a technical fall during wrestle backs.
• At 149, Levaughn Wilson-Reid recorded a fall during wrestle backs.
• At 174, George Travinsky reached the quarterfinals after a decision in the Round of 16.
• Travinsky also picked up a decision during the Round of 8 consolation bracket.
• Also at 174, Devan Monahan earned a pin in the consolation bracket before falling to Travinsky in the Round of 8.
