Union, N.J. (3/4/26) – The Kean University baseball team topped Arcadia University, 4-2, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

#7 Kean (5-2-1) pushed across a single run in the second as Mike Colonnello singled home Dan Reistle who reached on a single of his own.

Arcadia responded with two runs in the next frame, taking advantage of a Cougar miscue.

The Cougars tied it up in the same inning as Dominic Masino led off with a single.  After swiping second, he came around to score off a Jude Clough double.

Kean took the lead for good in the seventh as Masino again led off with a single and after a successful sacrifice moved him into scoring position, came around to score on a Michael Simone double.  Tyler Stone added Kean's fourth run of the day with an RBI single.

Offensively Masino and Simone each had two hits.

Cole McGourty (1-0) earned the win in relief.  He allowed just one hit in two and two thirds innings of relief work.

Jason Basilicata earned his second save of the year tossing one and a third innings of scoreless ball.

Kean heads down south and will travel to take on #1 Trinity University with a three game set starting on Friday.
