Union, N.J. (4/5/22) – The Kean University baseball team dropped a 5-0 decision to visiting Moravian University on Monday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Cougars (19-5) allowed just one earned run on the day, but the Greyhounds took advantage of that miscue and plated four runs in the sixth to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Earlier in the first inning Mason Fisher recorded a two out RBI single to plate an early run. That run stood for a long time as the Greyhound defense seemingly had magnets in their gloves making several plays in the outfield to negate several Cougar base hits.
Eddie Olson (2-2) earned the win after tossing six and a third innings allowing six hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Bruce Weyand suffered the loss after tossing four innings allowing one run and four hits. He walked one and struck out two.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday when they host Stockton University at 3:30 p.m.
